Your support changes lives!
Relationships mean a lot, and SERRV takes great pride in knowing the artisan and farmer partners on a personal level. Some of the partnerships have lasted over 35 years! SERRV is passionate about working together to overcome the challenges the artisans face and supporting ideas that will help them grow stronger. Through ongoing communication and frequent visits to workshops and communities around the world, SERRV maintains mutually respectful and transparent relationships with our partners.
Our partners make it a priority to invest in development projects that benefit the greater good, and as a result, sustainable communities have been built on the ripple effects of fair trade. We’ve supported successful schools, community wells, health centers and clinics, anti-trafficking programs, solar energy and more over the years.
Women in rural Bangladesh, like Rabeya Begum, are empowered in multiple ways by creating our bread warmer and basket sets. Rabeya has been making kaisa grass handcrafts with SERRV’s partner CORR- The Jute Works for more than ten years and uses most of her income to send her three children to school. Her dream is to be a leader in her community—and in many respects, she already is. She freely shares the knowledge she has learned from CORR about women’s rights, dignity, health and nutrition with other women in her village and encourages them to discover new possibilities for their own lives.
Due to some away sales coming up in June, the shop will be closed June 5th, 11th and 12th, but we will be open during the Strawberry Festival June 15th. Also, save the dates of June 18th and 25th for a “clearance sale” on certain items in the shop.
