Soup/Supper Bible Study

THE GOSPEL OF LUKE
Lenten Bible Study
February and March 2018
Friday Evenings 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The Gospel of Luke is one of the foundational books of the Bible.  Luke is filled with stories of Jesus’ teaching and life including the richness of the Gospel teachings.  As we work through the themes of this Gospel, we will begin to incorporate the teachings of this text into our lives and our faith traditions.  Please join us on Friday evenings in February and March to study this important text.

This Lenten Study begins on February 9, at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  There is also a Geneva Concerts presentation by the RPO that same evening at 7:30 pm.  Therefore we will have our lesson as we eat so that those wanting to attend the concert may leave at 7:00 pm.  For the other six sessions we will have a soup, bread and fruit dinner at 6:00 pm followed by a discussion of the text from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The study of Luke is 14 sessions long.  As you see, only seven sessions are planned during this Lenten season.  The final seven sessions will be our study for Lent in 2019.  Luke will certainly become a part of our lives as we study the stories and texts over two years.

Please join us for our study of this exciting text.  It is a wonderful evening shared with friends and an opportunity to share in learning about what the Bible says to us in our daily lives.
