“When in our music God is glorified,
and adoration leaves no room for pride,
it is as though the whole creation cried:
Alleluia!
How often, making music, we have found
a new dimension in the world of sound,
as worship moved us to a more profound
Alleluia!
So has the church, in liturgy and song,
in faith and love, through centuries of wrong,
borne witness to the truth in every tongue:
Alleluia!
And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night
when utmost evil strove against the Light?
Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight;
Alleluia!
Let every instrument be tuned for praise!
Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise!
And may God give us faith to sing always:
Alleluia!”*
In this New Year, come and join us in making music with the choir on Thursday evenings.
Come for a season, come to try out a new way to praise.
Or, come and learn to ring bells.
Offer your talent with instruments for special music.
Learn a new skill or dust off an old one.
Be a part of the whole Creation singing,
Alleluia!

Friends of Camp Whitman

Camp Whitman LogoDear Friends of Camp Whitman,

This past summer we welcomed 321 campers to Camp Whitman (29% more campers than in 2016!).  Many of our camp families have limited finances and receive scholarships from their home churches, but for some families a direct scholarship from Camp Whitman is their only opportunity for support.

Photographers Wanted

Photographers Wanted for Church EventsFor many, many years, Joan McClure has been taking wonderful pictures of our church life.  Joan has expressed an interest in reducing the number of these occasions and concentrating primarily on church school activities.
