Meets from 9:15-10:15 on Sunday morning
in the South Parlor
Come to the South Parlor on September 20 following the Chapel Organ introduction and join us as we introduce the Adult Forum program for this year. Our first program will be a two-week study on the Holy Land and will be followed by Eclipsing Empire: Paul, Rome and the Kingdom of God.
Chancel Guild members are volunteers who prepare communion and decorate the church for various occasions.
During the distribution of the Family Profiles, some members of the congregation expressed concern that Servant Keeper identifies one member of a couple as “Head of Household” and the other as “Spouse.” I contacted the vendor and learned that although this is the program’s default behavior that it is possible to rename “Head of Household” to another term after the couple has been added to the family.
On July 26th, we distributed and mailed Family Profile reports from Servant Keeper to all members and friends of the Presbyterian Church in Geneva. Over 350 letters were distributed or mailed and to date we have had 199 returned to the church office as requested. If you have not returned your Family Profile, please do so that we can update our records.
Beginning this fall, several email addresses at the church are changing. The new email addresses have been created to separate church email from personal email. The old email addresses will remaining active and should only be used for personal use.

Children’s Choir will begin rehearsals during Sunday School on September 20. We’re scheduled to sing in church this fall on October 11 and November 22. We’re fortunate to have Mrs. Jones accompany us on the piano again this year. Lisa Gage, our new director, is a deacon at church and teaches English 11 and 12 at Geneva High School. Ms. Gage loves to volunteer, golf, and cheer on her students at sporting events, plays and concerts.
“With all creation one song we raise: ‘Soli Deo gloria!’”
Greetings church family! It is so exciting to be starting this fall as your new Music Director and while it is not something I had planned, it comes as a welcome joy to work with you in this capacity. I can still remember walking into church with my white chorister’s robe on sometime before I was 6 years old and I have been in church music in some capacity since. It is home to be singing and leading music in praise to God.
