SERRV, The Year in Review

The SERRV shop was very successful in 2014 and the committee thanks everyone who supported this mission project of our church. Outside the church sales were also responsible for our success. Many dedicated volunteers managed and staffed the shop. Many of you in the congregation made purchases which gave to the artisans and fair trade producers a fair wage and ability to support their families in many developing countries. This helps them lift themselves out of poverty, develops business skills and improves their communities and environment. We hope you will continue to give us help and support in the new year.

From The Parish Nurse, January 2015

Dear Church Family,

Happy 2015 to you all!! Normally it would be back to business as usual for the Nicholas Family, but this year my kids have managed to extend my “Red Zone” holiday stress level into mid January. My son planned an Eagle Scout ceremony on New Years Day, (who does anything but sleep or watch parades that day?) and my daughter Mary planned a January 10th wedding (pray hard we don’t have a blizzard). Robert and Shannon have to head back to college on the 11th and John and I will probably stare at each other over coffee on the 12th with a deer in the headlights look thinking “What just happened here and where did all the money go?” (more…)

Stewardship Update

We are on our way to meeting our goals, but still need everyone’s participation to continue ministering to our congregation as well as providing a long term presence of our church’s mission to Geneva and beyond.
