Adult Education
As the church contemplates becoming a Matthew 25 congregation, the Adult Education Committee is offering a study of the landmark work Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond beginning April 25th. Eviction is a significant problem facing people in Geneva and surrounding areas. Desmond, through first person experience, examines social problems that are outcomes of eviction. This Pulitzer Prize winning bestseller by a Harvard sociologist, is a landmark look at poverty.
Copies of the book are available in the church office. A schedule, including special speakers, will be released mid-April. Emails will be sent to those who express interest in this book study. Contact either Ellen Reynolds or Mat DeMoras for more information.
Adult Ed meets by Zoom from 9:15 to 10:15 on Sunday mornings.
