Adult Spiritual Formation

Meets Sunday Morning at 9:15 in the South Parlor.
Please consider attending to enrich your faith journey!

Our Lenten Bible Study, which meets on Friday evenings for a soup, bread, and fruit supper followed by a study of Luke, will have its final session on April 5th.  Supper is at 6, study is at 7 and we finish by 8.  All are welcome. Let Diana Capron know if you need the resource book.

Behold God's Beauty graphicOur Sunday Lenten Series, Awakening To God’s Beauty, also comes to a close in April.  Each week, we have studied psalms through a spiritual discipline called visio divina — praying with art — to open our eyes with new awareness and gratitude for the beauty of creation. Our final psalm study will be on April 7th, with a discussion of Psalm 139.

With no activities scheduled for Palm Sunday or Easter Sunday, our faith journeys continue on April 28 with Interpreting the Old Testament, a four week video series with Amy-Jill Levine. Join us as we explore the cultural and religious context of some of the Bible’s most treasured passages. As Professor Levine observes: “The Old Testament is endlessly fascinating because it offers everything to explore… tragedy, comedy, and farce; miracles and sometimes heavenly silence; answers that satisfy and answers that may not; destruction and rebuilding; despair and hope.” We look forward to hearing your voice in our discussions!
