Congregational Meeting, May 5, 2019

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – A meeting of the Congregation and Corporation of The Presbyterian Church in Geneva, NY will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 following the 10:30 worship service for the purpose of hearing a report on the financial sustainability of the church.  This will include a plan to address both the short-term and the long-term financial future of The Presbyterian Church in Geneva.

During this meeting we will rejoice in the many positive aspects of The Presbyterian Church in Geneva. You will also learn of short term financial projections as well as the recent decisions of the session based on the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Financial Sustainability Committee concerning the ongoing and future financial needs of the congregation.

The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the 10:30 worship service to enable the use of the new projection equipment in making the presentation.

The intent of this meeting is to create awareness as well as invite support for immediate need initiatives approved by the session. The need to revitalize membership and financial resources will be discussed including a yet-to-be-developed three-year program entitled “Ensuring our Future”.

This meeting begins a process of great importance to the future of the congregation second only to the union of the two Presbyterian Congregations over three decades ago.

For those unable to attend, an informational letter will be sent to all members following the meeting so that every member will be advised. Hopefully those who are able will attend as the support of every member and friend of the congregation is needed to “Ensure our Future”.
