The Presbyterian Church in Geneva uses time, talent, and treasure for social justice and community improvement. Through direct investments in over 20 community charities, special collections for mission efforts at home and abroad, and the SERRV shop providing international products produced in a way to improve economic conditions in communities around the world, we believe a standard 10% commitment isn’t enough to reflect the whole of our hearts. In 2016, we devoted over 30% of our general budget to mission.
In addition to these cash contributions and social mission efforts, our church is open to community groups for use for meetings and programs. In any given year at least 30 community groups, from the American Red Cross to Zonta Club make use of the many gathering spaces. The Presbyterian Women, Deacons, and other church members also give freely of their time and energy to community outreach and social justice efforts.
