Article from the Parish Nurse

Dear Church Family,

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but not because of “much mistletoe-ing and hearts that are glowing” (although that does make it fun)!  It is the most wonderful time because we are celebrating the birth of our savior and His gift of salvation to us.  I think everyone will agree that is very wonderful!

The Cantata “Uns is ein Kind Geboren” or “For Us A Child Is Born,” will be the musical center piece for Cantata Sunday service on December 16 this year. Even though it was first published as a work of Johann Sebastian Bach in 1884 by the Bach-Gesellshaft, later research indicated that this was not a correct attribution.

Pause for Prayer

Pause for Prayer: On the First Sunday in Advent let us pray for God’s Light in our darkness.

New Keys for the New Year

It has been nearly 20 years since The Presbyterian Church was re-keyed. There is a joke within the Property Committee:

Instead of asking ‘who has a key to the church’, it is simpler
to ask ‘who in all of Geneva does NOT have a key’.
